Google mistakenly suspended Manga Rock for Android

Manga Rock Android suspended

Mana Rock Android was mistakenly removed from sale by Google yesterday. According to the email we received from Google, someone has filed a complaint against Manga Rock on copyright infringement. They are claiming that Manga Rock provides Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece in the US, which is not true – any of our users in the US would know this.

However, similar to any Youtube video, once a complaint is made on copyright infringement, Google will proceed to suspend it first, regardless whether the claim was true or not. That’s just how the system works.

We have already filed an appeal with Google. We’re hoping Google will reinstate the app as soon as possible. We’ll keep you updated on the progress.

New update 1.0.5 on the horizon

This suspension comes at a bad time. We have just finished update 1.0.5 for Manga Rock Android. The update features improvements to the downloader and bug fixes. For now, we’ll just have to wait until Google reinstate the app before we can push out the update to you guys.

What’s happening next

Again, we are working with Google to get Manga Rock Android reinstated as soon as we can. For existing Manga Rock Android users, you can just use the app normally.

However, you won’t be able to purchase the full version for now. Also, please don’t delete the app as you won’t be able to re-download it from the Play Store in the mean time.

Thank you for your understanding and support, we’ll keep you updated on our progress. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!
